Summary: 

The Senior Data Integrity Specialist works with all areas across the Development Department to generate requested data files for managers and directors; Oversees input of all direct mail data and sustainer data into donor databases: Creates marketing mail files from data to facilitate revenue generation; Generates direct mail data files for all mailings to export to vendors; Creates special marketing reports/spreadsheets for the Director and other managers as requested; Assists staff to create queries and reports.

The Senior Data Integrity Specialist is a member of the Core Team of SPLC staff who works together on all database related matters to include conversions, upgrades, and maintenance. The primary role of the Senior Data Integrity Specialist is to ensure the data in the donor database is kept in optimal order. The Senior Data Integrity Specialist sets the standards for all Development Department staff to follow.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Communicates internally with multiple teams to improve/enhance and ensure quality data;
  • Sets the data integrity standards to be followed by all users of the database;
  • Consistently strives to improve the quality of the data, the efficiency of the collection of data, and the overall documentation of data processes and workflows; 
  • Proactively organizes information, resources, and files – sets standard for organization and communicate best practices to the team;
  • Meets regularly with the Manager, Development Operations and Systems to prioritize workloads for the Data Integrity team;
  • Assists Manager, Development Operations and Systems Director as needed;
  • Provides the highest level of customer service to all internal and external teams to meet goals and deadlines;
  • Understands and assists with program technology issues and requests;
  • Conducts Monthly and Quarterly Data Audits;
  • Ensures all processes are SOP compliant in completion and timeliness;
  • Oversees the correspondence library to ensure it is uploaded into the database systems for departmental use;
  • Update existing process and procedure documents as needed;
  • Maintains disposition and demographic uploads from vendors daily;
  • Creates special marketing reports and mail files from data to facilitate revenue generation;
  • Generates direct mail data files for assigned mailings to export to vendors;
  • Assists staff to create queries and reports;
  • Exports telemarketing data files and securely transfers them to appropriate vendors within the specified schedule;
  • Exports and transfers other marketing files as assigned;
  • Triage and assists with data issues and requests;
  • Maintains Reports for department managers as needed;
  • Update existing process and procedure documents as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications –

Education and Related Work Experience:

  • Three (3) years of Customer Relations Management system experience;
  • Three (3) years of financial experience. Examples include updating credit card information, bookkeeping, and experience in accounts payable and receivable, etc.;
  • Experience creating queries and reports using computer software systems; and
  • Highschool Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability working with cross-departmental teams;
  • Ability to independently conduct meetings with external vendors;
  • Ability to use computer software to run database queries and generate reports;
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented;
  • Must have strong communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must work well with peers and managers across departments;
  • Must be flexible and able to change course when required;
  • Commitment to ideals of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion; and
  • Commitment to fostering an anti-racist work culture and to anti-racist principles and learning.

Other Special Considerations:

This job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.

Due to COVID-19, our offices are currently closed and staff is working remotely.  If this position is filled while our offices remain closed, the new employee will work remotely until the offices reopen.  We are not asking newly hired employees to relocate while the offices are closed.
