The Office of Regional Programs is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with alumni and friends of UGA in effort to raise major and principal gifts for the University of Georgia. Through frequent travel, Regional Directors of Development build a culture of philanthropy in regions across the country while strengthening affinity for the University. Though subject to change based on institutional priority, this position would include mission critical cities for the University of Georgia.

This team is an extension of the development efforts of all 17 schools and colleges in addition to the various academic units and the Athletic Association. Because of this group’s diverse geographical reach, as well as the representation of the entire university, the regional program can maximize the donor’s potential and passion to invest in any area of the University of Georgia

The Associate Senior Regional Director is held responsible for:

  • Regional Director of Development responsibilities and
  • Personnel supervision and performance matters for all Development Officers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years professional experience
  • Major gift fundraising in higher education ($25k+)
  • Experience leading and managing a team of frontline alumni and development officers.
  • Experience and knowledge of Plus Delta fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement a training and development program to educate alumni and development officers on best practices for collaboration, fundraising and donor engagement.
