Allina Health, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, seeks a dynamic, transformative executive to serve as its next Vice President and Chief Development Officer (VP). This individual will lead the proposed integration and transform philanthropy across the enterprise. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead philanthropic endeavors for a community focused, non-profit health system focused on whole-person care and challenging the health care status quo. The VP will be responsible for leading all philanthropic efforts for Allina Health and will serve as a dynamic resource to senior leadership while continuing to enhance the overall philanthropic reach of Allina Health.

The Vice President and Chief Development Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer for philanthropic strategy and to the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer for day-to-day activities. The VP will work collaboratively with Allina Health's Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership, physicians, administrative personnel and allied health staff and will be an actively engaged and recognized as a credible leader in the community.

This leader will have oversight for all fundraising efforts across Allina Health including identifying prospects, leading all aspects of development, major gifts, grateful patient giving, planned giving and events and implementing best practices for philanthropic systems and processes to improve fundraising. The VP will collaborate closely with development staff, leadership and internal and external stakeholder groups to provide vision, strategy, and oversight for development. The new leader for philanthropy will bring a diverse perspective in thinking through fundraising best practices. The VP will be an advocate for the community and will expand the reach of philanthropy into the community by telling the story of Allina Health.

The successful candidate will be a values-driven, sophisticated development professional who is knowledgeable about philanthropic and stewardship strategies. This individual must be an innovative leader, as well as a skilled manager focused on the development and mentorship of their team. The VP will possess exceptional relationship and team building skills, and will have a transparent communication and leadership style with a dedicated commitment to equity and inclusion.
