Appointment
This position will be located in Advancement Operations within the
Division of College Advancement.
- Extract data, conduct analysis, write reports, and provide application support as a part of the Advancement Analytics team
- Develop ad-hoc reports, including translating requests into accurate reflections of requirements
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing reports and applications
- Serve as department expert resource on assigned third party platform(s) and manage vendor relationship(s)
- Serve as the primary contact point with assigned department(s)
- Perform data imports and enrichment from a variety of data sources
- Proactively identify opportunities to consolidate work, centralize, automate, and increase accuracy
- Provide technical expertise in assessing and implementing new platforms to support/enhance existing advancement technology suite
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications necessary to existing applications to meet changing programmatic and end user needs
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with skills and trends in data analysis and management
- Perform additional duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design /programming concepts, data analysis, and presentation
- Microsoft SQL server SSMS, T-SQL and SSIS (or other ETL) experience required
- Proficiency in one or more report writing tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Power BI, or Tableau
- Natural curiosity to learn new systems and actively assess new feature sets of existing applications as well as identify new and innovative applications to maximize fundraising and engagement success
- Ability to gain cooperation from and collaborate with individuals or groups in order to accomplish goals
- Strong organizational and project management skills, and experience independently overseeing complex projects and programs
- Proven ability to be flexible and work both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure, environment with changing priorities
- Talent to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents both written and verbally
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse community and make an impact in a complex team-oriented environment
