With you, a better world for girls – in all their diversity – is coming. Together, we can unlock the potential of girls globally.

Plan International is a leading global girls’ rights organization. Powered by supporters from around the world, the global Plan International network partners with – and is driven by – adolescent girls, children, and young women to overcome oppression and gender inequality. We work alongside them to address their unique needs and the needs of their communities, ensuring they achieve their full potential with dignity, opportunity, and safety.

The CEO of Plan International USA is responsible for maximizing the impact of our programs to advance girls’ rights and for expanding Plan’s fundraising, reach, and influence in the United States. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the U.S. team and collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally, in our efforts to increase Plan’s impact around the world. The CEO will create new models for engaging individual and institutional donors and policy leaders; build relationships and alliances with like-minded and innovative partners; effectively leverage the resources and expertise of Plan International globally; and ensure accountability to all stakeholders. As a member of the Plan International global leadership team, the CEO of Plan International USA represents the voice of U.S. donors and advances the mission of Plan everywhere.

We are seeking an inspiring and strategic leader who can build on our increasingly strong reputation for innovation and thought leadership in the sector. The successful candidate will have an understanding of international development issues, the opportunities and challenges facing not-for-profit organizations, and an ability to address them effectively. They will be an experienced leader with a strong track record at an executive level and at least 15 years of progressive experiences within a complex international organization. Most importantly, they will be passionate about partnering with adolescent girls, children, and young women to overcome oppression and gender inequality.
