Temporary Assignment through end of fiscal year 21-22, with a possibility to be extended through December 2022.

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Assistant Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations, will work with the Senior Director of Foundation Relations and Strategic Initiatives, to support and implement all aspects of Pomona College’s fundraising initiatives from private foundations and corporations.  In coordination with the Director, the Assistant Director will draft standard grant proposals, prepare stewardship reports and letters, and assist with developing agendas and staff site visits; s/he will research new foundation prospects; prepare briefings and background materials; and assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors. The Assistant Director will work with various College constituencies to create, implement, and oversee systems and procedures that will support the function of the Office of Foundation and Corporate Relations and will work closely with Advancement colleagues on shared objectives.

In addition, the Assistant Director will provide administrative support in the form of gift processing and reporting, data entry using Raisers Edge, accounting and budgets, and general administrative duties. The Assistant Director will work on other work-related projects as assigned.  This is a temporary, full-time, exempt position that reports to the Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum three years of fundraising experience (preferably from foundations and corporations), ideally in higher education; or combination of foundation, corporate, NGO, and other relevant fundraising experience.

REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required.  Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:  Temporary, full-time, exempt position.  Pay Range $53,870 - $61,000 annual salary.  Please submit your resume and cover letter
