Are you a talented fundraising leader with vision, energy, and passion who is interested in an amazing career opportunity to help change the future of the world’s toughest cancer?  If so, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) was the first organization dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer in a comprehensive way, and for more than two decades, we’ve grown a nationwide movement tackling the disease from all angles. We take bold action by funding life-saving research, providing personalized patient services free of charge, and creating a community of supporters and volunteers who will stop at nothing to create a world in which all pancreatic cancer patients thrive!  We’re looking for people who, like us, will stop at nothing to make progress for patients. Our work is critical, meaningful and it changes lives every day.  If you are an experienced “out the door” major gift officer with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills that convey trust, flexibility, and integrity who is excited about championing our mission, join us and be a part of it!

PanCAN is seeking two (2) National Directors of Leadership Giving to join our Development team and lead major gift fundraising in the Northeast (New York) and Great Lakes (Chicago) regions. The positions are remote but require the selected candidate to have a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and community in their assigned region. The most qualified candidates bring an accomplished track record of development success with a minimum of 5-7 years of major gift experience, that will contribute to PanCAN’s overall goal to increase annual revenue to $80M. The National Directors will each build and manage a portfolio of 100-125 donors and prospective donors. They will develop, implement, and manage effective multi-year fundraising strategies and plans for relationships with individuals with the ability to give six and seven-figure gifts. The selected candidate will be a self-starter and strong listener with the tact and sensitivity to engage well with a diverse range of donors, volunteers, patients, and families.

To encourage the people fighting the world’s toughest cancer, we provide our staff with the resources, care, and sparkle to do and be their best in and out of the office. We offer competitive salaries, variable incentive compensation, flexible work arrangements, a remote-friendly work environment, exceptional time off practices, and top-tier health and welfare benefits – all creating an extraordinary workplace and inclusive culture that celebrates diverse perspectives, encourages innovation, and is highly recommended to friends and colleagues by our team members.
