Manager, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships (Flexible Location - East Region)

Through networks, training, and pathways, veterans can continue to serve while creating meaningful impact in under-resourced communities.   THE OPPORTUNITY The Mission Continues is looking for a dynamic Manager, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships to cultivate, solicit, steward and grow a diverse portfolio of s corporate and foundation funding partners. The manager will develop new and bolster existing funding partnerships that ensure alignment between our mission and corporate social responsibility priorities and foundation goals. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is a strong relationship manager and is looking to grow within an entrepreneurial nonprofit, has a passion for respecting and empowering our nation’s veterans, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative, start-up environment.  Location for this position can be any major metro market including and east of Texas where we have an active Service Platoon.   WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Responsible for managing  and growing existing corporate and foundation relationships through best in class stewardship and cultivation - Communicate regularly with funders and donors via phone, video conference and in-person meetings and events - Actively support collaboration within and between departments and with key stakeholders - Manage entire process of funder proposals, stewardship and reporting for portfolio of funders - Maintain accurate records of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities through organizations CRM - Support Senior Leadership team on donor stewardship to maximize the results of their meetings with potential and current partners - Assist with new business development support  - Create presentations, proposals, decks and reports for funder solicitation and stewardship   WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: - Strong, creative relationship manager who is comfortable with soliciting new relationships and cultivating existing relationships - Knowledge of corporate and/or foundation philanthropy landscape— particularly those interested in veterans and/or community impact - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting and public speaking - Strong organizational, prioritization and project/time management skills - Familiarity with non-profit organizations and fundraising principles and practices - Ability to successfully exercise discretion and independent judgement to reach goals - Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter, capable of taking direction but working independently and collaboratively with a team - A passion and commitment to empowering veterans and communities  - You are a courageous leader and a culture add. You lead and listen with empathy and put the people you serve at the center of the work. You are an advocate for a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.  You bring a unique skill set developed from diverse experience and are willing to share your expertise and perspective with the team.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Account management experience - Familiarity with Salesforce CRM - 4-7 years of direct work experience   TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (Outside of global pandemic)  Must be flexible and able to work some evenings and weekends including up to 25% travel to various locations around the country. Multi-day and/or weekend travel will be required on program event dates for in-person events, and online for virtual events. There may be long days with virtual programming continuing into the evening hours. Some longer sessions may be held over the weekend.
