Optometry Giving Sight

An estimated 1.2 billion people around the world are blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye examination and a pair of glasses. Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) aims to permanently solve this problem by focusing on support for sustainable solutions in underserved communities. With generous support from donors, OGS provides grants to domestic and international organizations who focus on training local eye care professionals, establish optometry schools, and vision centers, and deliver eye exams and low or no-cost glasses. Offices are in Golden, Colorado and Calgary, Canada.

Director of Development

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), North America, the Director of Development is an energetic and self-motivated fundraiser who is responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the fund development strategy for OGS in the United States and Canada. In partnership with the ED, the Director will develop and implement an annual Fundraising Plan that includes strategies for major gifts, corporate and optometric practice support, annual campaigns, planned giving, and special events to ensure annual targets and objectives are met. The Director spends time personally soliciting donors and as such, must have strong relationship building and solicitation skills. This is a remote position. Salary commensurate with experience.
