As it nears its 100th year as a flag-bearer for quality in early
childhood education, NAEYC is seeking an inspiring
and transformational leader who can guide the organization to its
next stage of growth as its new Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”).
This is a unique opportunity to be at the helm of an organization
regarded as a national leader in early childhood education, as
NAEYC evolves in new and exciting ways to respond to the current
changes in the field.
The Chief Executive Officer is
responsible for the overall successful operation and performance of
NAEYC. This includes oversight of all programs, business lines, and
fund development efforts, as well as the fiscal health and
structural soundness of the organization. Reporting to and working
closely with the Board of Governors, the CEO oversees an annual
budget of approximately $20 million and 90 mission-driven and
talented staff. The CEO also serves as the primary spokesperson for
NAEYC with policy makers, the media, funders, partners, and
Koya Partners, the executive
search firm that specializes in mission-driven search, has been
exclusively retained for this engagement.
