The Talent, Equity, and Culture Director (Human Resources) is a senior leadership position dedicated to helping the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) maintain and sustain a positive organizational culture to achieve its mission of protecting the environment, promoting human rights, and ensuring a just and sustainable society.

This role leads on the implementation and strengthening of organizational policies and practices; on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding; on improving employee engagement and accountability through performance reviews, professional development, mediation, and trust-building; and on cultivating ongoing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) implementation among staff. The position is responsible for ensuring HR compliance, upholding and applying policies even-handedly, managing accountability processes, and fostering trusting relationships at every level. This position involves a high degree of authority, responsibility, and discretion. The Talent, Equity, and Culture Director reports to the Vice President and is based in the DC office.
