Relationship Manager, Development Department

The Public Interest Network operates more than a dozen organizations committed to a shared vision of a better world, a set of core values, and a strategic approach to social change. Some of the groups that are part of the Network  include U.S. PIRG, Environment America, Green Corps, and the National Environmental Law Center and encompass nearly 400 staff. We tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our country today, such as delivering clean air, clean water and a livable climate to the next generation; transforming our energy and transportation systems for the 21st century; growing food in ways that leave both people and the planet healthier; and responding to the worst public health crisis in a century.

In order to achieve these results, the groups in The Public Interest Network need resources, guidance, and infrastructure to make progress on these issues. That’s where the Development Department comes in - we raise general support funds to further the critical work of the Network’s national organizations and network of state groups.

The Development Department’s new Relationship Manager would be responsible for, among other things, cultivating The Public Interest Network’s Leadership Circle members, helping to organize an annual retreat as well as quarterly webinars, briefings and/or roundtable discussions and more. The Relationship Manager may also assist with organizing events that build a pipeline of larger donors.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
