The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.”  WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The WPAOG is seeking a Director of User Experience (UX). The WPAOG Communications & Marketing (C&M) team serves the needs of WPAOG in all communications & marketing functions so that AOG can best serve West Point graduates through effective, measurable and rewarding programs and services. This position will serve our mission by developing data-driven content, campaigns and engagement to convert constituents.

This position reports directly to WPAOG’s Vice President of Communications & Marketing. The Director will oversee content development by managing communications with a focus on targeted content and communications assets, opportunities for cross-marketing programs and services, as well as ways to integrate all media including the website and electronic communications (managed by director of online services).

The incumbent serves as a central contact to coordinate, schedule, monitor and integrate all departmental and organizational communications, both online and print. The Director will help translate brand strategy into diverse, multi-channel campaigns to support the mission of WPAOG and drive improved, positive awareness of the Association. Content/messaging development and management skills are essential to this role. The Director will define KPI’s that measure quality and effectiveness of communications across all distribution channels. Our social media presence and overall content deliverables will be a key factor of importance for success.

A Bachelor's degree is required, and Master’s degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience in UX design. This individual must have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to shift easily from strategic to tactical thinking.  Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment is a must.

In addition, the incumbent must possess exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, and must be comfortable engaging with and presenting at the C-suite level.  Fluent knowledge of social media, online and digital best practices is essential. Print communications experience is preferred.

We offer excellent benefits and a great working environment.  Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.  Please submit cover letter, resume, writing, UX/UI and campaign samples, and three letters of reference.
