The Carmel Hill Fund ("CHF") is a national philanthropy based in
New York City whose mission is to address inequity, empower those
living in poverty and enable advancements in the fields of mental
health and education.
The Carmel Hill Fund has a growing need for research and
program-related consulting services related to its current grant
programs and potential new funding areas. We are seeking a
Research Consultant to provide expert guidance to the Executive
Director and members of the Board in developing and implementing
programs, operational systems and processes to enhance [and
evaluate] impact of the Fund's charitable programs.
-Conducting independent research to deepen CHF knowledge on
current issues in the field, including research relating to
grantees, charitable projects and programs.
-Developing operational systems for grantee selection,
monitoring, evaluation and grantee communications.
-Developing systems and processes/procedures for conducting or
participating in meetings, webinars, convenings, and funder
briefings, with or by grantees, other foundations and/or thought
- Producing written deliverables and other tools.
Conducting educational sessions for staff and the Board relating to
the above. Furthering the Fund's related philanthropic
- Previous consulting experience conducting research or
developing grantmaking processes for non-profit charitable
organizations or colleges/universities preferred.
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
