Responsible for providing key support to inform fundraising prospect strategy for Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). This includes ensuring gift officers have the right fundraising prospects in their portfolio, and auditing the solicitation pipeline for accuracy and adherence to policy. The individual will have oversight of the PM team, assist in the creation and maintenance of PM policies, develop reports and dashboards in Excel and Tableau, and manage projects at all priority levels. 1.Supervision and management of the Prospect Management Team
*Coordinate the activities related to training of new and existing staff on best practices and new resources
*Act as a resource and mentor for staff on prospect management best practices
*Lead and mentor the team on professional development efforts
*Delegate appropriate work and projects to staff based on skill sets, knowledge and experience
*Interview and select job candidates
*Communicate job accountabilities, performance expectations and goals; evaluate performance, provide appropriate feedback and develop plans for improvement

2. Develop and distribute prospect management and related reports and analysis
*Responsible for multiple suites of regularly produced prospect management reports and other ad hoc reports
*In coordination with the Director, develop tracking and reporting processes for the management of Prospect Management Team metrics
*Assist in the implementation and coordination of modifications to reports used by various teams across Development and Alumni Relation (DAR) as it relates to prospect management
*Demonstrate an understanding of the analytics continuum and distinguish among descriptive, comparative and predictive analysis
*Use sound statistical techniques when embarking on and completing analysis

3. Prospect management
*Responsible for the administration of the prospect management of principal and major gifts within DAR
*Assist in the creation and maintenance of prospect management policies
*Work collaboratively with Leadership Gift Officers to formulate strategies, provide prospect management updates and prospect information to enhance the pool of prospective individual donors
*In coordination with the Director of Prospect Management and Research, facilitate and conduct meetings around prospect management with all teams within DAR
*Provide consultation to frontline staff as it relates to pipeline and portfolio management best practices
*Lead the effort around the creation of portfolios for new Leadership Gift Officers and facilitate portfolio analysis meetings with the Leadership Gift Officers and DAR leadership
*Audit pipeline updates for Leadership Gift Officers while adhering to prospect management Departmental policies and procedures
*Ensure compliance with prospect management policies and procedures while maintaining the integrity of prospect management system

4. Project management
*Evaluate priority levels for projects depending on need, impact and buy-in
*When communicating with clients, work to understand their point of view, define actionable/tangible objectives and determine the scope of the project
*When managing projects, set reasonable timelines and deadlines for project delivery
*Proactively initiate projects designed to discover and analyze new and emerging prospect segments

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Statistics, Economics, Business, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Three to five years related work experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail

Ability to complete projects on time, on budget and report on status and progress

Demonstrated skills and capabilities in analytical and critical thinking, complex problem solving and team leadership

Supervisory experience preferred

Experience with software to produce complex visual dashboards (Lehigh uses Tableau) and a modern constituent relationship management system (Lehigh uses Ellucian CRM Advance) is preferred

Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
