Choose Creativity empowers children and adults to build resilience, creative confidence, and social-emotional skills (SEL) through our Learn with Creative Confidence (LwCC) school day and after school programs. LwCC is based on the 10 Principles of Creativity. Job OverviewReporting to the Board of Directors in a non-hierarchical organization structure, the Director of Development will spearhead fundraising efforts as the Lulu and Leo Fund continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the exciting opportunity to build the development function, including outreach to individual donors, relationships with foundations and corporations, and event planning.
Responsibilities-
Develop and execute the Lulu and Leo
Fund's annual fundraising plan
Secure financial support from
individuals, foundations, and corporations
Manage the implementation of our
Kindful database and oversee data entry and gift processing
Work with members of the Board of
Directors to cultivate new donors through their networks
Work with the Chairman of the Board
to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major
donors
Create and execute a strategy for a
large sustained base of annual individual donors
Oversee the planning and organization
of the annual Choose Creativity Awards and donor cultivation
events
Work collaboratively with the Senior
Director of Programs to identify opportunities for program-specific
grants
Develop and track proposals and
reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
Clearly communicate and articulate
LwCC content, messaging, and impact to stakeholders

BA (required), MA (a plus)
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in
development
Demonstrated excellence in
organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Self-directed and motivated in an
unconventional, goal-oriented, collaborative team environment
Knowledge of fundraising databases,
such as Kindful and Hubspot
Proven budget management skills
including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and
reporting
