The Elisabeth Haub School of Law (Haub Law) is one of Pace University’s professional graduate schools. Haub Law has earned a preeminent reputation for the #1 ranked Environmental Law program in the nation, as well as many other outstanding programs in many fields of legal practice including Public Interest Law and Criminal Law. Students enjoy significant flexibility and breadth of experience – in addition to the traditional J.D., Haub Law offers students an accelerated two-and-a-half-year J.D., a Flex J.D. scheduling option, certificates and concentrations, eight joint degrees, and Master of Law degree options.

Haub Law seeks an entrepreneurial and accomplished Senior Director of Development (Senior Director) to ensure continued philanthropic growth from individuals. The candidate will help create and execute a strategy for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of leadership, major, and planned gifts to support Haub Law and other priorities of Pace University.

S/he will manage a portfolio of 120 to 150 major gift prospects and donors with capacity to make gifts of $25,000 and above. The successful Senior Director will lead discovery work to build constituency and identify new major gifts prospects in the Tri-State philanthropic marketplace in an environment where the prospective donor constituency is not immediately obvious.

The Senior Director will lead and ensure the timely completion of Haub Law’s $20 million campaign to raise funds for scholarships, experiential learning, and faculty support. S/he will serve as the lead staff member supporting the Haub Law Campaign Committee in partnership with Development and Haub Law leadership and campaign consultants. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and leadership to build capacity and create the conditions for a successful volunteer-led campaign.

The successful candidate will serve as the main development point of contact for the Dean of Haub Law and prepare the Dean for the cultivation and solicitation of key major gift prospects. S/he will have the opportunity to work closely with the Haub Law Alumni Board and Board of Visitors to encourage an engaged alumni base with a strong culture of philanthropy.

The Senior Director of Development will report to the Associate Vice President of Development and manage one fundraising professional. S/he will manage the Haub Law Board of Visitors and partner with the Law School Alumni Associate Committee. The ideal candidate will manage and expand the Board and other volunteer groups to ensure they are committed to achieving Haub Law’s contributed revenue objectives.
