Results for America (RFA) is the leading national nonprofit organization helping policymakers at all levels of government harness the power of evidence and data to solve the world’s greatest challenges. Our mission is to make investing in what works the “new normal” so that one day, all government leaders use rigorous evidence and quality data to inform important policy and funding decisions. We believe that data-driven and evidence-based policy decisions could significantly increase the impact of the over $1 trillion that governments spend annually to advance economic mobility and racial equity.

The Opportunity

RFA is building a new Impact & Learning Team to lead on data infrastructure management, data analysis, facilitating focused conversations about data and performance, and following through on rigorously measuring impact. RFA desires to effectively ‘roll up’ data it already collects via standards of excellence and create new metrics where needed to ‘draw the dots’ to key population-level outcomes both within and across programs.

One of the key hires on this new team is the Technology and Impact Systems (TIS) Director. The Technology and Impact Systems Director will work closely with RFA practice leads, program leads, and operational staff to lead an ambitious project to develop and harmonize RFA’s technology infrastructure through the significant expansion of a Salesforce-based ecosystem, integration of related solutions, and the addition of reporting and analytics tools. This role will be responsible for ensuring our technology portfolio meets the strategic needs of RFA’s complex and continually evolving programs.

The ideal candidate for this position is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of end user business needs, deep familiarity with technology integration best practices and requirements, expert knowledge of the Salesforce platform in a nonprofit context, and experience leading large-scale technology solution migrations. The individual should also have a strong understanding for how data flows through technology ecosystems (from collection, to storage, to analysis) and is capable of designing and optimizing data flows.

In a shared services capacity, the Technology and Impact Systems Director may or may not supervise staff directly but will be in charge of managing the success of the Salesforce implementation, including vendor relationship(s), staff stakeholders across RFA, and reporting out to executive management and board leadership to ensure this period of rapid organization change runs smoothly.

The TIS Director will report to RFA’s Chief Impact Officer.
