Eastern Conservation Partnerships Manager 

National conservation organization seeks a regular, full-time Eastern Conservation Partnerships Manager who will be an integral part of the development team by coordinating with funding prospects to grow philanthropic support for National Forest Foundation (NFF) programs and projects, unrestricted funding, and other NFF priorities. This position will support the NFF strategic goals to engage individuals, corporations, and others in the mission of the NFF. The position will report to the Director of Conservation Partnerships and is responsible for generating funds from new and existing sources with an emphasis on companies and foundations to advance the NFF mission. The position will work closely with development, marketing/communications, program, and events staff, to secure and grow funding partnerships with institutions based in the eastern United States to raise unrestricted support and funding for a range of programs either regional or national in scope (approximately 60% of position). The Manager will spend approximately 30% of time raising funds specifically for on-the-ground conservation projects in the NFF Eastern Region (which corresponds the U.S. Forest Service’s Regions 8 and 9), with balance of time on other development opportunities and duties as needed …. more. Must be committed to the mission of the NFF; must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years’ experience with proven results in fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, proposal development, and stewardship; experience in a nonprofit environment preferred; excellent communication skills: writing, editing, and telephone communication; demonstrate proficiency in a variety of applications including Microsoft Office 365 Suite and familiarity with CRM systems. Must be able to represent the NFF with diverse partners and funders in a clear and professional manner with excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills; able to work well and be flexible in a team-oriented environment; and also work independently with minimal oversight; strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; strong ability to set priorities, meet deadlines; able to occasionally travel (estimate of three-to-four times annually) and occasionally work evenings and/or weekends …. more. The successful candidate will work remotely, and the location will be anywhere in the United States with reliable Internet access, preference will be given to candidates located in the Eastern United States. The NFF offers compensation commensurate with skills and experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
