Southwest Regional Development Coordinator 

National conservation organization seeks a regular, full-time Southwest Regional Development Coordinator who will be an integral part of the development team, by coordinating with funding prospects to grow philanthropic support for National Forest Foundation (NFF) programs and projects in the Southwestern Region of the United States, unrestricted funding and other NFF priorities. The position will report to the Director of Conservation Partnerships and is responsible for generating funds from new and existing sources (including corporate, institutional, governmental, and individual) to support the NFF mission. The position will work closely with both development and program staff to secure and maintain funding partnerships that support the NFF mission, programs, and projects in the Southwestern Region of the country (approximately 70%), along with developing support for unrestricted funding, other U.S. regions, and other NFF priorities (approximately 30%) …. more. Must be committed to the mission of the NFF; must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and two years’ experience with proven results in fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, donor solicitation, proposal development, and donor stewardship; experience and interest in conservation issues and in a nonprofit environment preferred; excellent communication skills: writing, editing, and telephone communication; demonstrate proficiency in a variety of applications including Microsoft Office 365 Suite and familiarity with CRM systems. Must be able to represent the NFF with diverse partners and donors in a clear and professional manner with excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills; able to work well and be flexible in a team-oriented environment; and work independently with minimal oversight; strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; ability to manage a variety of projects and tasks effectively; able to occasionally travel (estimate of three-to-four times annually) and occasionally work evenings and/or weekends …. more. The successful candidate will work remotely and may be located anywhere in the United States with reliable Internet access, preference will be given to candidates located in the Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico). The NFF offers compensation commensurate with skills and experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
