Head of Strategic Partnerships

TPW is entering a dynamic period of growth as a global Community. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic team leader to help us build on our success of mobilizing a Community of over 400 resourceful funders who collectively deploy over $1B a year to the most pressing issues of our time.

As part of a global, close-knit team across offices in San Francisco, New York, and London, our Head of Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in shaping the strategy for TPW’s growth over the next five years to realize our vision to be a Community of over 2,500 global members deploying $10B annually. This position will work closely with our CEO and existing partners to leverage opportunities to unlock resources with a sense of urgency. TPW has built strategic partnerships and funding relationships with organizations such as the Gates Foundation, the Skoll Foundation, Co-Impact, Pivotal Ventures, Packard Foundation, and Sobrato Family Foundation, and this role will help identify, curate, and steward additional mission-aligned and mutually beneficial partnerships - with institutions, individuals, families.

With a demonstrated passion for achieving ambitious goals, the Head of Strategic Partnerships will have significant experience developing and leading a comprehensive business strategy, proven talent for engaging multi-sector leaders and organizations, and a track record for increasing growth and revenue. This individual is an ambassador for TPW values and shares our belief that in order to achieve social progress, the “status quo” culture of philanthropy must evolve - to embrace best practices of racial and gender equity, accept increased risks and innovative approaches, and leverage collaborations for greater impact.

The ideal candidate brings an established professional network and is a high-energy self-starter who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment, excels at building strategic, long-term relationships to advance social impact, and is results-driven.

Based in the United States and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for managing an existing portfolio of partners, and sourcing, stewarding, and growing new opportunities from institutional, foundation, individual, and corporate partnerships. While nearly 60% of TPW’s revenue is funded by the annual contributions of our member base, a growing source of support comes from external, mission-aligned partnerships and organizations investing in our mission and expansion of our impact. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping TPW as a global organization, as well as influencing the future of the philanthropic sector.
