Reporting to the Senior Director of Tamer Executive Education, the Program Manager works with the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise to deliver its portfolio of open enrollment and custom programs for senior and mid-level executive program participants, in order to strengthen the leadership and management capacity of organizations seeking to achieve social and environmental impact. This includes working in areas such as participant liaison, enrollment and data management, program delivery, reporting, analysis, grant proposals, and maintaining funder relationships. The candidate will work closely with Columbia Business School faculty and staff to ensure the highest level of client service and liaise with various stakeholders, including other University Departments, foundations, funders and clients, leaders, managers and practitioners in the social enterprise and business community involved with Tamer Center’s Executive Education programs.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Tamer Center and school staff to plan and execute in person and online program delivery planning including bookings for space, catering and vendor set up, event planning, faculty teaching support and multimedia logistics, producing and distributing participants’ course and other digital or print materials, program certificates, and securing custom branded or other gift items.
Education:
Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. 2-4 years of related experience required.
Minimum Requirements:
Strong interest in social enterprise, and event or other related experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume complex environment that requires confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and tact is required. Detail orientated and a self-starter who takes initiative and is able to anticipate and prioritize tasks. Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication skills. Ability to cultivate relationships among alumni and past participants. Ability to collect information, effectively analyze information, prepare proposals, and understand brand issues required. Must have demonstrated computer proficiency. CRM and other web and project tracking platform experience desirable. Some evenings and weekends necessary. Some domestic travel necessary.
