Global Witness are looking for a Development Co-ordinator to join our Individual Giving team in our Washington D.C. office.

About Global Witness

Global Witness is ambitious. Our campaigns aim to create a real step change in addressing some of the underlying causes of climate breakdown. We want governments and business to put the interests of people and planet above the pursuit of profit.

We bring our experience of establishing groundbreaking and impactful campaigns on issues that people told us again and again would not be possible to change. Along with our investigative, advocacy and communications skills, we also bring determination, persistence and resolve.

About the role

As the Development Co-ordinator, you’ll work closely with the Head of Individual Giving to identify, engage and steward donors, primarily from the US and Canada. You’ll work across all Global Witness’ campaigning areas, collaborating with colleagues to create tailored and persuasive digital appeals to get new and existing donors excited about funding our work. You’ll also develop excellent internal and external relationships, manage your own donor portfolio, implement a moves management system, and support a donor events program.

About you

You’ll bring experience in managing donor cultivation and stewarding systems and managing a prospect pipeline. You’re a skilled communicator with a proven ability to identify and cultivate donor relationships and meet your own income targets. Finally, you’ll enjoy collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.

Working for us

Global Witness has a talented team of people worldwide with offices in London, Washington DC, and Brussels. We aim to be a diverse and inclusive place to work. We value new perspectives, original ideas and different ways of working. We believe that diverse views and experiences improve the way we do our work. We do our best to make our jobs accessible to all regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or identity.

We offer an excellent benefits package including a competitive salary and 25 vacation days (excl. Federal holidays), healthcare insurance, wellbeing days and policies to support you during key life events.

This role is based in Washington D.C. and therefore to be considered for this role you must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in Washington D.C, US. We are currently trialling a new hybrid working model for 2022 that requires staff to be in the office at least 20% of the working week.
