Richmond University Medical is currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Development. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Development is responsible and accountable for the overall creation, management and operations of a comprehensive fundraising program to provide maximum philanthropic support to Richmond University Medical Center. This position reports directly to the President and CEO of RUMC. This position oversees all fundraising and development activities including: Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Capital Campaign, Grants, and Special Events, including the annual Gala and Golf events.
- Develops a strategic fundraising plan that organizes, leads and evaluates specific fundraising programs and strategies in consultation with President & Chief Executive Officer
- Builds, maintains and cultivates relationships with individual donors, prospects, community, physicians, and staff to enhance the fundraising program
- Represents RUMC in a variety of setting which can enhance the fundraising effort
- Develop a planned giving program to build long term support
- Develops and monitors the department budget and presents fundraising reports to the President/CEO
- Develops appropriate fundraising publications and communications and works with public relations staff to support all fundraising programs
Education/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree is required; graduate degree in a management discipline is preferred. Certified Professional Fund Raiser credential is desirable.
- Candidate must have a minimum of five years of successful fundraising experience, preferably in healthcare required.
- Progressive experience in leading a comprehensive fundraising program including major gifts, grateful patient campaigns, capital campaigns, planned giving, annual giving and special events required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture relationship are essential.

- Winning, positive, hi-energy personality with the ability to work with and motivate staff, administration, physicals and other constituencies.
