Friends Select School is seeking a new Director of Leadership Gifts, a vital member of Friends Select's advancement team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, who will be responsible for increasing operating support for the school through leadership gifts. This is a hybrid remote position.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and partner organizations who have the potential to make leadership gifts to the Friends Select Fund and leverage connections to benefit the school
  • Manage giving to the school through the Pennsylvania State Tax program
  • Support major gift fundraising and alumni relations activities
  • Manage a portfolio of prospects for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship working in conjunction with the development team
  • Serve as an active team member of the development department, supporting various day to day responsibilities, including giving alumni tours and identifying ways to further engage the community
  • Actively participant in alumni, family, and donor programs and events
  • Travel will be necessary

Qualifications

  • Fundraising experience
  • Experience in building relationships and willingness to ask for gifts to the school
  • Experience working towards aggressive goals with adherence to metrics and strategy plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort and strong skills with technology including Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Blackbaud databases
  • A commitment to social justice and anti-racism
  • Bachelor's degree required
