Corporate Engagement Manager

Title: Corporate Engagement Manager (Business Development Manager/Account Manager)

Position Summary

The Corporate Engagement Manager is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of existing corporate partners while sourcing and cultivating potential businesses that are not currently partners of Out & Equal.  In addition to meeting business development and relationship management goals, the Corporate Engagement Manager negotiates and executes agreements with corporate partners and ensures precise execution and fulfillment of completed agreements as assigned.  As a member of the Corporate Engagement Team, the Corporate Engagement Manager supports, develops and executes fundraising initiatives and campaigns for Out & Equal. The Out & Equal model of corporate engagement is based on bringing a multitude of benefits (trainings, in-person events, advisory services, and more) to current and potential partners for consideration and solidification in their annual agreements. The Corporate Engagement Manager must therefore be highly fluent in the work of Out & Equal and deeply understand the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in order to make effective and persuasive proposals. Out & Equal is a matrixed organization and all teams are collaborative and largely interdependent.

Reports to: Sr. Director, Corporate Engagement

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and provide strategic assistance to Corporate Engagement leadership in the intake and fulfillment of new and existing partner contracts
  • Field ongoing new partnership inquiries and set up strategic prospecting meetings
  • Develop and implement strategies for growing an assigned portfolio while acquiring new corporate partners on behalf of Out & Equal
  • Research and recruit potential partners with written proposals, presentations and follow up to generate new business and revenue
  • Manage corporate relationships by providing high touch communication and frequent opportunities for engagement
  • Work with CRM software such as Salesforce to accurately track and report out various details of partnership information
  • Issue and track event Partnership Agreements and invoices to meet audit and finance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Out & Equal internal partners to ensure all corporate partner expectations are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Technology:

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with Asana, Slack, and other project management tools
  • Experience with Office 365

Language(s): English

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.

Minimum Experience: Four (4) years relevant experience.

Location: Remote, DC or San Francisco base preferred.

Exemption Status: Exempt

Position Type: Full-time 

Required Travel: 10%
