Development Associate, Donor Relations 

Washington, DC 

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers, is seeking a Development Associate to manage Carnegie’s donor relations activities. The Development Associate, Donor Relations will report to the VP. 

Responsibilities for the Development Associate include managing and growing Carnegie’s donor relations activities: managing donor circles and stewardship activities for major gift and foundation donors, including preparing donor communications and streamlining donor cultivation activities; managing and growing a Corporate Circle membership program, including identifying and qualifying prospective corporate funders; and working with the VP on Trustee stewardship. The Development Associate leads donor outreach activities including monthly breakfast briefings, donor circle events, rapid response briefing calls, written scholar digest offerings, and scholar meetings. 

Successful candidates will possess five years or more of relevant fundraising or donor relations experience, preferably working with corporate or major donors. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has meticulous attention to detail, is driven to execute plans, possesses superb written and oral communications skills, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently, works well in a dynamic environment, and is experienced in organizing small private events and meetings for executives.
