Boy Scouts of America–Greater New York Council
Chief Development Officer

Lindauer is proud to partner with The Boy Scouts of America – Greater New York Councils in their search for a Chief Development Officer.

Since its founding in 1927, the Greater New York Councils remains one of New York City strongest nonprofit organizations serving the city's children and youth. They have helped over five million young people become "Prepared for Life." Serving the five boroughs of New York: Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, the Councils have served 21,000 youth within a total youth population of 680,239; it is one of the few remaining purely urban Scout Councils.

The Chief Development Officer will be an innovative and entrepreneurial development professional. Reporting to the BSA-GNYC President & CEO, the CDO will be responsible for building and leading a comprehensive development effort that supports the mission, vision, and advancement of scouting in New York City and a fundraising plan to increase and diversify philanthropic support while leveraging the unique urban and diverse New York Community to move this esteemed organization into the 21st century.

Successful candidates will have experience working in the New York City philanthropic arena and possess a clear understanding of all aspects of development, including annual, major, and planned giving along with institutional fundraising from corporations and foundations and capital campaign planning.
