Who is MRPA:
Make the Road PA was launched in 2014 and has quickly become one
of the largest Latinx organizations in the state of Pennsylvania
over the last few years. MRPA runs three robust centers in Reading,
Allentown, and Philadelphia. We have a strong, engaged membership
base of Black and Brown working-class people, primarily in Latinx
communities. We have a strong track record of local and state
campaigns, large-scale mobilizations on federal issues, large-scale
civic engagement work, and active leadership among key progressive
organizing groups, coalitions, and tables across the state.
About the position:
Make The Road PA is seeking a full-time Development Director to
work closely with the Executive Director to oversee MRPA’s
fundraising landscape and potential donor pool. The role will play
a critical part in securing philanthropic funds, building out an
individual donor pool, and fostering relationships with potential
donors/foundations under the director's direction to continue
Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per
Building and maintaining donor
Creating a positive, respectful
reputation for the organization
Facilitating strategy meetings with
Finding potential donors from the
public and private sectors
Managing relationships with the
organization's financial partners
Preparing and presenting reports on
fundraising activities to senior management and board of
Serving as grants administrator,
writing grant proposals and acknowledgments for grants received.
Ensuring compliance by the organization of terms stipulated in the
Producing grant content a
Build out the individual donor base,
prioritize cultivating donors for the organization,
Build out federal, state, and city
Bottomline prospecting and supporting
the team on reporting.
Bottomline and collaborate with the
team in launching the end of year fundraiser
Responsible for writing thank you
letters/notes to donors.
Coaches, trains, and develops grant
writing for the Senior Leadership Team.
Creates and/or collaborates with a
team for training materials in relation to fundraising.
Collaborates in coalition with
organizational partners and allies on joint proposals.
We are seeking candidates who excel in relationship-building,
are results-oriented, and have impeccable writing and project
management skills. You should have:
Bachelor's or equivalent work
Experience in writing grant proposals and reports
Proven experience in the development
of fundraising strategies
3-5 years of proven experience in
communications, public relations, or, advocacy and political
Must be eligible to work in the
Be fully bilingual in Spanish and
A car and driver’s license.
Required to be fully vaccinated with

Location: This person can be based in
Philadelphia, Allentown, or Reading, PA, but will need to travel on
