The Faculty of Medicine is looking for an outstanding Director of Advancement, Medicine to provide strategic advice to the Faculty Executive, including the role of liaison to the Associate Deans and the Mater Research Institute. The Director of Advancement, Medicine will lead the advancement activity within the Faculty of Medicine with responsibility for VIP relationships that require a collaborative approach with the Executive Dean (including Hospital Foundations), and management of the Faculty of Medicine Advancement team.
This position will set the direction for Advancement leadership and service with the Faculty’s Operational Units and drive overall fundraising strategy – in partnership with the Medicine and Advancement Executive leadership teams. The Director will also partner on relevant fundraising initiatives as part of the Health Advancement Network which includes the advancement teams in the Faculties of Medicine and Health and Behavioural Sciences (HABS) and the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI).
With extensive philanthropic fundraising experience, you will bring collaborative leadership skills and experience engaging and motivating groups of diverse stakeholder audiences, including engaging with institutional stakeholders (foundations and corporates) to secure strategic partnerships in academic medicine and/or healthcare-related institutions.
