The Role: Reporting to the Director, Donor Engagement, the Donor Engagement Coordinator plays an integral role in the success of the Center’s mid-level giving programs. The Donor Engagement Coordinator provides project management and data support for donor engagement efforts such as peer-to-peer, community events and partnerships, NextGen Council, and workplace giving to acquire and engage donors around the world, increase the number of younger donors and to also market to and steward mid-level donors to increase giving.

 

This position will be based in New York City in a hybrid work model. Covid-19 Vaccination is required for all U.S.-based Center employees.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of direct response and mid-level gift processing and acknowledgments working with Development Operations and our external vendors;
  • Monitor the general development email and phone inboxes and serve as the first line of contact for donor inquires and requests. Help connect donors with others within the Development team as needed and record donor interactions in donor database;
  • Work closely with the Operations and Research teams to ensure data integrity, accurate tracking of donor data and interactions in the database, and the documentation of procedures;
  • Support the launch of a workplace giving strategy and conduct outreach to donors to encourage them to apply for workplace giving donations on a regular basis;
  • Maintain the Center’s organizational profile on charity assessment and watchdog sites;
  • Assist in planning community events, creating and sending invitations, emails, RSVP tracking, and follow up;
  • Process and submit consultant and vendor expenses and track expense budget for Donor Engagement team.
  • Other Development responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree (baccalaureate or higher) in relevant field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission
  • Flexibility and ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, while also collaborating in a team setting
  • The ability to complete assignments in a timely manner, often under considerable time pressure, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to human rights, reproductive rights, and/or women’s rights generally
  • Capacity to receive and accept constructive feedback
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Steadfast attention to detail
