The Charitable Contributions Governance Associate is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) Charitable Contributions team, reporting to the Charitable Contributions Governance Manager. The CID team works to enhance Citi’s positive social impact through equity investing, innovative financial solutions, and strategic philanthropy. The Charitable Contributions Governance Associate will provide assistance in the creation, maintenance and improvements of the governance workflow for the processing of Charitable Contributions. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with preparation, development, due diligence review and approval of Charitable Contributions to ensure within policy guidelines.
  • Assist in providing global oversight and coordination in managing Charitable Contributions compliance testing, Manager’s Control Assessment control monitoring & testing activities, collection of key metrics, Corrective Action Plans management, and Internal Audit & Compliance Assurance preparation & coordination.
  • Maintain and analyze Citi’s Global Charitable Contributions policies and procedures to ensure risks and controls are properly addressed and end users understands and adheres to them.
  • Create and provide system, compliance and process training to commodity users and Citi colleagues as needed.
  • Drive improvement and efficiency of Charitable Contributions governance processes.
  • Liaise with local countries and senior staff to analyze, document, and address any compliance related concerns or issues, as appropriate.
  • Respond to Charitable Contribution inquiries from internal Citi colleagues

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to gain a strong command of new systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be a team player, and have a keen ability to prioritize
  • Good customer service skills
