Context of the Job:
Under the general direction of the Senior Director, Alumni Engagement, the Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a full range of alumni and constituent engagement programs, volunteer management and event-planning functions relative to Alumni and Constituent engagement activities that are in alignment with the goals of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. The Coordinator will support the work of the Alumni Engagement team in engaging alumni and constituents to develop a pipeline of prospective donors and increasing philanthropic support to the University of Delaware.

Context of the Job:

Major Responsibilities:
- Manges all pages within alumni social media platforms to ensure
relevant content and consistent, timely posts.
- Ensures alumni website updates are processed in a timely manner
regrading volunteers and events including photos, contact
information and other relevant details.
- In partnership with appropriate colleagues and DAR units,
coordinates and implements Alumni Engagement programs on/off-campus
and virtual events and programs.
- Prepares necessary mailings for events, ensuring timely
delivery and tracking of receipts.
- Serves as front-line liaison for Alumni Engagement team for
internal and external stakeholders, responsible for coordinating
responses from the Alumni Engagement email address. Initiates
fact-finding to resolve issues or makes necessary
referrals.
- Manages and analyzes event follow-up activities, such as filing
contact reports into database with information necessary for
tracking and cultivating of alumni and constituents; tracking,
recording, and reporting on alumni engagement data; updating
biographical information; creating event debrief documents,
including analysis and return on investment; making referrals;
necessary outreach to attendees; collecting photos, etc.
- Assists in the management of volunteers including any relevant
training or tracking of opportunities and pipeline as
needed.
- Proactively prepares background information, talking points,
presentations and support materials for meetings, events, and
appointments and conducts post-meeting follow up.
- Prepare draft and final correspondence (thank you,
acknowledgement, memos, and other assignments).
- Conducts benchmarking and relevant research as
needed.
- Performs job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and four years related experience years
of related experience, preferably in a university environment, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office suite of tools including
Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in social media platforms required.
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and individual
accountability.

- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and judgments in keeping
