About the IU Foundation

Founded in 1936, the Indiana University Foundation maximizes private support for Indiana University by fostering lifelong relationships with key stakeholders, providing advancement leadership, and fundraising services for campuses and units across the university. Today, the IU Foundation oversees one of the largest public university endowments in the country, with a market value in excess of $3.5 billion. IU is consistently ranked among the top four of Big Ten universities in annual voluntary support.

Job Description

The Indiana University Foundation invites applications for two Associate Vice President (AVP), leadership positions to support fundraising efforts at Indiana University.

Reporting to the Vice President of Development at the Indiana University Foundation, the AVP positions serve as strategic fundraising leaders for programs, schools, and units across the IU system by driving the fundraising activities toward institutional priorities that have tangible outcomes and impact on the constituents they serve.

One AVP position will have direct management oversight of schools and units involved in arts and culture, and the other will have strategic oversight of non-academic programs and schools. These newly created positions allow for increased harmony and goal sharing across all of IU’s schools, units, and campuses.

The successful Associate Vice Presidents will strategically lead initiatives under the direction of the Vice President of Development, most notably:

-Driving the success of assigned schools and units' philanthropic goals through collaboration and leadership

-Serving as a consultant to ensure optimal fundraising operations and best practices are executed

-Personal commitment to the ongoing success of philanthropy at Indiana University

The Talent, Culture, and Inclusion team at the IU Foundation will lead this search.  For questions, please reach out to Shannen Wisniewski, Talent Acquisition Manager, at iuftalen@iu.edu.
