The Development Coordinator provides operations and project management for Foundation Relations, working with the Office of Foundation Relations (currently a team of three: Senior Managing Executive Director; Sr. Director, Foundation Relations; and Sr. Director, Foundation Strategy and Operations). The Development Coordinator will organize and plan high level meetings with foundation and RAND leadership, compose briefings/reports, facilitate follow-up and continued engagement, and maintain accurate internal records. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Foundation Relations and interacts with RAND leadership, donors, researchers and staff, and requires a superb and detail-orientated approach to collaboration, proactive workstyle and growth mindset. The successful candidate will be focused and goal-oriented with a high level of initiative, organizational skills, communication skills, intellectual curiosity and interest in the field of development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintains and analyzes the year-over-year grant tracker on a quarterly basis and creates opportunity assessments

Conducts foundation prospect research, list management, and uses subscription and search tools to maintain foundation intelligence

Maintains and improves the foundation relations internal filing, materials repository, and foundation directory

Manages the Foundation Relations calendar, and leads office scheduling, including internal and external meetings, prep materials development, meeting agenda and minutes, and follow-up

Liaises with advancement services to ensure foundations are appropriately represented on department-wide initiatives with correct protocols followed

Updates and maintains integrity of Salesforce database for foundations; pulls Salesforce reports and provides data analysis of progress

Coordinate with the broader Development team on shared administrative goals and projects

Assists in writing and designing materials and presentations for foundation meetings

Other support and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially excel, Teams, and Powerpoint, experience working in a CRM database, experience with Salesforce preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as well as collaboratively across the department

Experience with budget tracking, and report management
-
Previous experience managing projects with a proven track record of successful completion
Education Requirements
Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
3-5 years of relevant experience required
