Manager of Annual Giving

Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Manager of Annual Giving. The Manager of Annual Giving will support the Director of Annual Giving in their work to support philanthropy at Poly Prep – growing Poly Prep’s Annual Giving programs to achieve specific fundraising and engagement goals in parent participation, alumni participation, faculty and staff participation, and all donor constituencies. Successful candidates will possess a solid understanding of fundraising in independent schools in an increasingly competitive environment. She, he, or they will bring enthusiasm, superb organizational skills, commitment to confidentiality, and a positive attitude in their duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

    Manages the planning of cultivation and stewardship events for new families, returning families, major donor prospects, and volunteers. Schedules meetings, prepares talking points, pulls donor profiles, and oversees full meeting preparation for Director of Annual Giving. Prepares profiles on donors for Stewardship meetings.  Provides high quality and dependable data that supports and strengthens Poly Prep’s increased fundraising efforts. Assists in the creation of stewardship pieces (donor reports, invitations, reports, appeals) re: Annual Giving and ensures pieces are delivered in a timely manner.  Assists in the management of volunteer assignments and follow-up communication, and planning of all volunteer-led events.  Strategizes and implements methodology for maximizing the efficient management of the organization's constituents through the effective use of Raiser’s Edge. Assists in the management of parent-to-parent outreach, and engagement strategies among the parent community. Aids in reunion-based fundraising program in close collaboration with the Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Annual Giving. Maintains Annual Giving calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep annual giving cycle on track.  Manages a small portfolio of prospective new parent donors for each academic year.  Other duties as assigned and needed by Advancement leadership.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor’s degree 

 

Experience:  3-5 years of experience in fundraising, specifically annual giving 

 

Specific Skills:  Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience and fluency in Google and Microsoft Office, enthusiasm, high emotional intelligence, exceptional ability to organize, manage, multi-task and meet deadlines, calmness under pressure, exceptional writing skills, enjoys building relationships with colleagues, alumni, and other school families, ability to maintain confidentiality 

 

Certifications:  N/A

 

Special Requirements:
All employees must be fully vaccinated and show proof of their full COVID 19 vaccination and booster (if eligible). Some evening and weekend work required.
