IREX seeks a collaborative, empathetic and adaptable Strategic Partnerships Manager to engage in private sector fundraising and partnership development. The Strategic Partnerships Manager is responsible for positioning IREX for new opportunities, identifying new donors and partners and playing a key role in leveraging existing donors and funders for deeper engagement. This is a role that combines strategy, understanding of IREX programs and relationship building to cultivate trust-based and equitable partnerships that lead to impact.

Your Background & Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least ten years of professional experience in relevant sectors, including previous experience in fundraising, private and/or civil society partnership development
  • Knowledge of CSR practices
  • Experience with Shipley full-cycle proposal process or similar method
  • Proven experience managing multiple tasks in a demanding, time sensitive work environmen
  • Experience managing a portfolio of donors/partners
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution, and a demonstrated ability to hold self and assigned staff accountable for quality outputs and results
  • Strong budgeting and financial planning acumen
  • Excellent computer and data management skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with or willingness to develop capacity in Salesforce or other CRM
  • Professionalism in written correspondence and strong oral communication skills; able to produce final draft quality communication and documents in a timely manner 
  • Demonstrated growth and learning mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  

 

Your Daily Tasks

  • Co-lead the implementation of the Annual Strategic Partnerships Plan 
  • Identify funding and partnership opportunities through research, competitive landscape analysis and other engagement methods
  • Work in partnership with Director, Strategic Partnerships on data collection and analysis on SPU diversification efforts
  • Lead designing and preparing proposals in response to donor funding opportunities
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships/relationships with corporate and foundation donors nationally and globally
  • Proactively support IREX’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts
  • Represent IREX and the Strategic Partnerships Unit interests both within and outside of IREX
  • Other duties as assigned
