Description:

The Charitable Contributions Governance Program Lead is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) Charitable Contributions team, reporting to the Charitable Contributions Governance Manager. The CID team works to enhance Citi’s positive social impact through equity investing, innovative financial solutions, and strategic philanthropy. The Charitable Contributions Governance Lead will help drive and support the creation, maintenance and improvements to the Charitable Contributions process and governance workflow.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and coordination of day-to-day activities of Charitable Contributions governance team
  • Develop process maps and help drive process simplification to increase operational efficiency, reduce process variation, and identify gaps in compliance or controls
  • Develop and apply in-depth understanding of the function’s objectives to create and define requirements for the end state of program governance
  • Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners in the development of due diligence and approval processes
  • Manage the maintenance and enhancement of Citi’s Global Charitable Contributions policies and procedures to ensure risks and controls are properly addressed
  • Design controls and monitoring tools to mitigate identified risks and escalate when necessary
  • Support management of workflow application as needed, including tasks such as requirements documentation, solution design, UAT, and user support.
  • Assist in providing global oversight and coordination in managing compliance testing, Manager’s Control Assessment, collection of key metrics, Corrective Action Plans management, and Internal Audit & Compliance Assurance preparation & coordination.
  • Manage project timelines, milestone tracking, expected outcomes and ensures effective communication and coordination
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Non profit and/or Compliance knowledge preferred
  • Workflow application experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, project management, planning, organizational, solving skills
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be a team player, deal with changing priorities and have a keen ability to prioritize
