Welcome.US inspires and empowers people from across divides to unite in common purpose, welcome newcomers, meet their essential needs, and help them thrive. Since our founding in the fall of 2021, Welcome.US has helped to build the largest welcoming coalition in refugee resettlement history. We began by welcoming our Afghan allies and have now expanded our efforts to welcome our new Ukrainian neighbors as well. 

In partnership with local and national resettlement agencies, community organizations and leaders, refugees, community sponsorship groups, nonprofits, businesses, faith-based groups, veterans, universities, four former Presidents, and four former First Ladies, Welcome.US is the single point of entry for Americans who want to get involved and support those who are starting new lives in the United States.  

DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIPS TEAM

Welcome.US is growing its Development and Partnerships team, sitting under the Chief Development and Partnerships Officer (CDO). This team is responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, as well as cultivation and day-to-day management of donor and private sector partnerships in alignment with the top priorities of Welcome.US. We seek dynamic individuals from a diversity of backgrounds to manage and support the execution of our private sector collaborations and partnerships.

SENIOR MANAGER OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT 

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Senior Manager of Employee Engagement will play a critical role in both fundraising and developing strategic, high-impact partnerships with members of the Welcome.US CEO Council, a cohort of business leaders committed to championing Welcome.US initiatives as we mobilize private sector resources to support newcomers. This position will lead collaborations with these corporate partners (as well as foundations and high-net-worth individual donors as needed) to engage their employees in the welcome effort, a key part of the Welcome.US strategy to bring vital resources to the organization and to the entire ecosystem of coalition partners that we consider essential stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success motivating employees to participate in social impact initiatives. In addition, they will have experience and skills in working across the not-for-profit sector to engage and support nonprofit stakeholders in volunteer mobilization. Specific duties and responsibilities will include the following:

Design and execute employee giving and engagement campaigns in collaboration with Welcome.US’s corporate and foundation partners Provide thought leadership and creativity in co-designing bespoke volunteer opportunities for corporate employees and donor groups Produce materials to raise employee awareness and inspire employees to donate, volunteer, sponsor, and engage in other acts of welcome Work closely with teams across Welcome.US to build and facilitate employee giving and engagement campaigns  Work with the Content and Communications team to gather and amplify stories of employee volunteerism  THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills, experience, and characteristics:

Required Skills and Experience

4+ years of experience with corporate social impact initiatives or volunteer mobilization, with a focus on building and navigating complex partnerships with large, high-profile corporations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including through email communications, written narratives, meeting facilitation, and presentations Demonstrated skill at building collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and external partners and stakeholders Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and manage projects, take ownership of high-quality and timely delivery, and quickly surface and resolve roadblocks as they arise Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach to work Willingness to bring ideas, openness to feedback from colleagues, and flexibility to iterate A “no task too small” mentality to achieve results in a small team Ability to respond enthusiastically and positively to ambiguity A growth mindset, taking responsibility for continuous performance improvement Experience and desire to work remotely, across time zones, and with a remote supervisor Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet stakeholders, represent the organization, and gather with teammates. (We recognize that Covid-19 may continue to limit travel in the short term.) Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or commensurate experience COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
