Assistant Director of Philanthropy

Established in 1999, the Center for BrainHealth at the University of Texas Dallas has become one of the leading recipients of philanthropic support in North Texas for its proven research and clinical activities on improving brain performance. The Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Philanthropy to help with the engagement, solicitation and stewardship of existing donors and prospects regionally and nationally. The successful candidate will thrive in a collegial environment and help lead the philanthropy team in supporting the Center for BrainHealth’s vision to unlock human potential through improved brain health and performance.

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Three plus years relevant professional experience.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 7-10 years of overall fundraising and campaign experience; Salesforce software experience preferred.

Work closely with the Executive Director of Philanthropy to help develop and oversee the department’s annual and multi-year strategies for achieving goals in support of the Center’s initiatives.

Assist the Executive Director of Philanthropy in maximizing the engagement of the Board of Advisors and the Center’s staff. Provide support to volunteers and staff who have donor/prospect portfolios.

Maintain an active personal portfolio.

Effectively build and steward relationships with a wide array of constituents to grow annual fundraising through various giving programs such as transformational, principal, major, planned, corporate, foundation, annual and special events.

Achieve personal goals and contribute to successfully accomplishing team goals.

Assist with all aspects of the Limitless Campaign and coordinate philanthropy communications with our marketing colleagues.
