Advancement team.
About Advancement
The Advancement team consists of several teams that
are critical to fulfilling the Success Academy mission --
Individual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, and
Events. They all work collectively to lead our effort to secure
critical resources, broaden our community of support and strengthen
our outreach to all constituencies.
The ideal candidate will enjoy being one step ahead of
busy executives and will be able to handle a wide range of
administrative tasks and special projects, while performing at high
levels of efficiency and accuracy when executing.
The Associate will support the Individual Giving Team
and will report to the Head, Individual Giving/Principal and Major
Gifts.
Key responsibilities
include:
- Coordinate all logistics and materials necessary for prospective donor solicitations and cultivation and stewardship activity with precision and accuracy;
- Execute research and briefings for prospects;
- Act as liaison on behalf of the Individual Giving team within the organization, as well as with external stakeholders, employing diplomacy in all interactions;
- Coordinate meetings with the Individual Giving team members, CAO and external stakeholders such as Principal and Major Donors. Develop briefings and provide materials for each meeting;
- Manage fundraising prospect communications ensuring that all communications are stored in Raiser’s Edge;
- Assist in the execution of accurate reporting and efficient strategy for prospect portfolio;
- Facilitate school tours and meetings with internal and external stakeholders and develop associated briefings;
- Assist in the planning and operationalizing of donor centric events like Leadership Council meetings and Young Professional Committee events;
- Manage the demanding schedule of the Head of Individual Giving in a timely manner with all prep documents ready and reviewed in advance;
- Proactively think through process and resources to recommend new solutions in support of Individual Giving;
- Maintain extraordinary attention to detail and effective organizational systems to ensure strong project management, and seamless communication between teams;
- Exude a polished, professional and customer service oriented demeanor with internal staff and external stakeholders; and
- Organize, manage, and provide administrative support for special projects within Individual Giving and support other teams in the Advancement Group as necessary;
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Have 1+ years of experience working in an office setting and able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment where the ability to multi-task is essential;
- Have advanced MS Office and G-Suite skills, proficiency with Mac/Apple products preferred;
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Is extremely poised and is comfortable addressing a variety of audiences, both internal and external, with a customer-service oriented, and professional demeanor;
- Possess extraordinary attention to detail with the ability to think critically about tasks at hand;
- Demonstrates appreciation for working in an environment where sensitivity and confidentiality is required; and,
- Possess the ability to adjust quickly to constantly changing priorities and be responsive to feedback;
- Mission-driven individual with an interest in educational access and equity for all children.
