NY | Full Time JOB DESCRIPTION Sesame Workshop seeks
a Manager, Global Institutional Giving, to
join its dynamic Institutional Giving team. The Institutional
Giving team is the knowledge center for bilateral, multilateral and
foundation investment for Sesame Workshop’s global early childhood
development programming, and drives impact for Sesame’s programs by
securing strategically- and value-aligned investments and
partnerships. This position will be responsible for a wide range of
business development activities, the most significant of which are:
driving processes around prospecting, concept, and proposal
development, and managing a large portfolio of donors and
partners.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop business development strategies
- Analyze the donor landscape and manage teaming decisions for competitive consortium proposals
- Develop and manage protocols, timelines, and knowledge management and organization systems for timely submission of proposals and reports
- Develop strong and compelling concept notes and proposals for foundations and bi- and multilateral entities
- Review and submit interim and final reports for funders
- Manage the contracting process for grants and contracts, including for compliance-heavy government contracts
- Work collaboratively with US social impact and international social impact teams on project planning for proposals and updates for reports
- Work in close partnership with project managers to ensure successful start-up and positioning of new contracts
- Manage and implement thought leadership strategy and processes to support the philanthropic positioning of the institutional team internally and externally
- Attend project meetings and serve as a resource on funder requirements and grant deliverables
- Track prospects and grant activity in Salesforce, and run pipeline reports in Salesforce
Qualifications:
- B.A. degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in foundation and/or government business development – a focus on early education, humanitarian, crisis-affected, or WASH programming a plus
- Must be a strong project manager with previous experience coordinating large proposals
- Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and desk research skills
- Strong relationship management skills with a range of donor types
- Strong data management and visualization skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with funders and philanthropies funding global social impact programs; experience working on USAID opportunities a plus
- Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as in a team setting
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
