The Operations and Finance AVP is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) team, reporting to the Operations and Finance SVP. The CID team works to enhance Citi’s positive social impact through equity investing, innovative financial solutions, and strategic philanthropy. The Operations and Finance AVP will support development, oversight and maintenance of a best-in-class Risk Management, Operations and Finance framework across the function. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support oversight of CID risk management and operations practices
  • Build a knowledge base on Citi risk requirements and best practices and support dissemination across the CID function
  • Assist in ensuring adherence with Citi’s Risk and Controls initiatives such as Managers Control Assessment (MCA), Information Security, Continuity of Business, and Records Management
  • Support timely execution of the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program, including the monitoring and testing of key controls as necessary, and documentation and tracking of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) resulting from internal audit efforts and processes reviews
  • Build a knowledge base relating to Third Party Management and Citi procurement policies and support Third Party Management activities
  • Work closely with CID Finance team to track third-party expenses and payments and ensure processing of transactions in line with Citi policies and operational goals
  • Participate in cross-functional risk reviews for CID business units, coordinate follow-up items as needed and assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiency opportunities
  • Liaise with senior staff across CID to analyze, document, and escalate any risk-related concerns or issues to Operations and Finance senior management, as appropriate
  • Support the coordination of internal and external audits
  • Assist in other aspects of Operations and Finance as necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and ability to gain a strong command of new systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be a team player, take direction, and have a keen ability to prioritize
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Good customer service skills
