HonorHealth is a non-profit, local community healthcare system serving an area of 1.6 million people in the greater Phoenix area. The network encompasses six acute-care hospitals, an extensive medical group, outpatient surgery centers, a cancer care network, clinical research, medical education, a foundation, and community services with approximately 13,100 team members, 3,500 affiliated providers and nearly 700 volunteers.

The SVP Technology and Data Analytics (SVPTDA) is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of technology systems used in philanthropy. The SVPTDA participates with the Foundation leadership team to set and meet strategic goals and grow the Foundation using technology. In addition, the SVPTDA directs, manages, oversees, and drives continuous improvement in System Architecture, Administration, Security, Application Development, Prospect Research, Data Hygiene, End User Technology Training, Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Analytics.

  • Identifies and oversees the development, implementation, administration and support of Foundation philanthropic technologies, and associated expectations and standards. Maintains a detailed working knowledge of current business and organizational practices. Implements the technical vision while developing and implementing appropriate technological strategies encompassing people, process, data, reporting and analytics. Participates in Executive Team meetings to develop and implement technical strategic plans and department operational goals.
  • Leads the technology vendor contracting processes. Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources. Develops and communicates business case justifications, risk assessments and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending.
  • Ensures a complete security plan is in place to protect the availability, integrity and privacy of donor data. Ensures all regulations are maintained including but not limited to CAN-SPAM and HIPAA, establishes process ensuring compliance. Serve as the Executive leading the careful development and release of technology related policies and procedures. 
  • Manages a team of staff and venders accountable for security, enterprise-wide architecture, system administration, application development, end-user experience, help desk support, data integration, application support, database administration, network administration, and prospect research. Supports deployment and utilization of IT tools to facilitate donor progression through an integrated pipeline (e.g., annual giving, major giving, principal giving, and planned giving).
  • Maintains contact with other HonorHealth entities, internal and external stakeholders and/or vendors to resolve any user issues, support program fixes, install software upgrades, identify modifications, and implement software enhancements and ensure best practices are followed with the proper utilization of software features.
  • Collaborate with IT Security to ensure solutions comply with corporate and regulatory policies. Maintains contact with other HonorHealth Entities and/or the vendor to resolve any user issues, support program fixes, install software upgrades, identify modifications, and implement software enhancements.
  • Recommends new or existing toolsets to support fundraising best practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years' work-related experience in Computer Science/Engineering or Technology related field, or in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a similar program
  • 10 years’ experience working developing Business Intelligence solutions in an analytical, high transaction, high volume environment. 
    Experience with Business Intelligence reporting using BI applications (Crystal Reports, Reporting Services, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with Data Mining, Statistical Modeling, Forecasting, and / or Predictive Modeling
  • Experience with Data Integration / Migration / SKY
