The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Development Manager – Major
Gifts is responsible for driving the revenue growth of Major Gifts
for either the East region or the Central and West regions and
leads and manages the Major Gifts program and implements strategies
to cultivate strong relationships and secure philanthropic gifts.
The Development Manager – Major Gifts provides expertise and
technical leadership and support to development teams to maximize
the return on investment for the assigned region(s) and advises the
Director of Development on goals for long-term strategy that
supports the strategic plan and annual business plan for program
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the growth of gross and net revenues for the major giving
Effectively articulate, verbally and in writing, WWP’s history,
mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources.
Provide leadership and management to the major gifts
fundraising team members including selecting, developing, and
managing a highly functional team and ensuring high
Ensure portfolios are properly balanced for effective moves
management. Track communications within Salesforce CRM to ensure
prioritizing individual passions through relationship based
Represent WWP and speak to community audiences, organizations,
and donors. Travel to meet with existing and prospective donors in
support of program objectives.
Establish effective working relationships and work
collaboratively with WWP teammates across the organization, e.g.,
Communications, Marketing, Programs, and other Resource Development
teams, working cross channels to garner new donors.
Evaluate the resource development fundraising program to
identify continuous improvement opportunities and efficiencies to
save donor dollars.
Provide monthly and quarterly revenue projections and
Manage overall trends in giving with support from analytics
team. Identify trends in current database with regards to
forecasting for ROI reporting.
Communicate status of projects, findings, and trends to
director of development.
Other related duties as assigned.

(MSOs) and veteran service organizations (VSOs).
Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office, e.g.,
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Seven years of fundraising or sales experience.
Five years in development leadership or equivalent leadership
Five years of experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
Five years of demonstrated achievement identifying,
cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors.
Five years of experience working in non-profit
Two years of experience leading remote, geographically
Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent combination of education,
experience, training, or certification may be considered in lieu of
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURERequirements
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office environment; temperature controlled.
May require participation in events under varying weather
Up to 50% travel.
May require lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.
