The School recently launched a bold strategic vision for the future. The Advancement Office will play a significant role in supporting implementation of the vision. Currently, we are seeking a Major Gifts/Advancement Officer to join the Advancement team.
How You Will Help the School:
The Major Gifts Officer works closely with Advancement and Trinity-Pawling School leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy, in support of Trinity-Pawling School’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
What You Will Be Doing:

Identify, research, qualify,
cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors of
major/leadership gifts, planned gifts, endowment, capital, annual
fund, integrated gifts, and future campaign/transformational gifts
and pledges through fundraising best practices and strategies.
Maintain and increase donor
engagement, and secure major gifts through personalized
correspondence, in-person visits and events, telephone/video calls,
concept briefs, proposals, presentations, and/or other
relationship-building methods.
Manage a portfolio of prospects
including alumni, parents, family members, community members, and
other stakeholders of the School.
Work cross-departmentally to support
donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and project
creation/implementation.
Strategically plan and forecast
fundraising revenue in collaboration with Advancement
leadership.
Establish clear metrics for success,
track progress, and adjust strategy as required to ensure goals are
achieved or exceeded.
Develop personal mastery by
participating in professional development, reading professional
publications, and networking to incorporate best practices and
innovative fundraising strategies.
Promote the interest of students by
being a good role model, establishing and reinforcing clear
boundaries and guidelines, encouraging students’ autonomy and
independence, inspiring a culture of philanthropy, and acting in a
transparent manner.
Perform other duties as may be
required.
You will immediately be able to make an impact if
you have successfully managed a major gift portfolio securing 6+
figure gifts and planned gifts and are a strategic thinker, adept
at crafting the case for support, and skilled at project
management.
And you have:

A Bachelor’s degree.
a track record of assuming
progressive responsibilities as a frontline fundraising in a
non-profit organization. (An added plus would include prior
experience working within independent schools/higher
education.)
A record of sustaining strong
relationships with individual donors, gaining their trust while
building deep partnerships with the organization and its
representatives.
An unwavering commitment to reaching
goals.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and
communications skills, and meticulous attention to detail
Social skills, a sense of humor,
flexibility, dependability, high energy, creativity,
entrepreneurialism, self-motivation, sound judgment, high ethical
standards, collegiality, and the ability to work effectively with a
team.
And you can:

Find creative solutions to challenges
and take initiative.
Leverage technology by extracting
data to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports
using software such as Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Raiser’s
Edge, etc.
Participate in evening and weekend
activities, receptions, special events, and travel as needed.
Meet the physical demands, which
include sitting for prolonged periods at a desk or computer
workstation, using repetitive arm, hand, and finger movements
traveling on uneven terrain, climbing/descending stairs/standing
for long periods and carrying up to 50 pounds.
