Position Summary: 

The Donor Services Manager is a member of the Philanthropic Services Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropic Services, this position manages donor and grantee relationships with the Trust as part of a large portfolio of funds. Such funds include donor advised funds and designated endowment funds.

 

This position is responsible for philanthropic support and administrative oversight for the assigned portfolio. Central to the position is accurately and efficiently maintaining contributions to and grants from the portfolio of funds while balancing proper engagement of, and correspondence with, donors and endowment recipients.  The successful candidate will have acute perception when speaking to/engaging with donors and advisors to assess when additional philanthropic services capabilities are warranted. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the relationship manager for a portfolio of approximately 300 funds that are primarily transactional in nature
  • In partnership with other Trust departments such as Finance, Learning & Impact, and Grants Management, provide support to the donors and advisors affiliated with funds in the assigned portfolio, including new fund orientations, administrative oversight, grant making facilitation, grant compliance, and inquiries related to online access and fund statements
  • Assess when the interests and needs of donors in assigned portfolio rise to a need for higher level of philanthropic advisory services from Philanthropic Services colleagues
  • Work in a team environment, taking ownership for assigned portfolio while understanding the full array of philanthropic services offerings as well as the strengths and capabilities of team members
  • Work in an office setting, connecting with assigned donors primarily via phone and email
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • A./B.S. Degree or work equivalent
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience providing excellent customer service in an environment serving clients and/or high-net worth individuals
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple competing assignments, responsibilities, and internal and external projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and the ability to effectively learn and utilize additional software programs including enterprise resource management systems, Salesforce, and the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
