If you are interested in serving as a Manager of Development Events and have 3-4 years of related experience in not-for-profit or higher education events fundraising, strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills, and are a self-starter with the ability to produce under deadline pressure with attention to detail, we at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, would like to hear from you.

On a typical day you will:
  • Coordinate events for Pratt's Institutional Advancement department, including fundraising outreach, logistical management, and administrative duties
  • Manage relations and communications with Pratt faculty, staff, and departments for IA events
  • Utilize Raiser's Edge to input donor information, create queries, pull lists and reports, and track various event tasks such as participant registration and seating arrangements
  • Schedule and manage volunteers and staff duties at events


Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma is required; college preferred.

Experience: 3-4 years of related experience in not-for-profit or higher education events fundraising.

Required Skills:
  • Must have above-average computer skills including database, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Raiser’s Edge experience required.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to produce under deadline pressure with attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong confidence in applying quick, smart, independent judgment, decision making, and problem-solving when necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member and to maintain a cool head while meeting deadlines required.
  • An understanding of the important role of diversity, equity, and inclusion to institutional advancement.
