Responsible for providing information support for operational and project-based needs for Development and Alumni Relations operations at the University. The Lehigh community takes seriously our commitment to antiracism and The Principles of our Equitable Community.
1. Provide front line support for the information utilized in
Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) operations at the
University
*Manage incoming tickets in the customer support
system
*Respond to requests in a timely manner
*Collect information about user problems
*Effectively guide non-technical users through the issue
resolution process
*Provide excellent communication to non-technical users through
written, graphical, verbal and in person communications
*Refer issues to other areas (e.g. other DAR Operations teams,
Library and Technology Services, etc.) as appropriate
*Create and maintain documentation relevant to team
responsibilities
2. Utilize, support and promote the use of the DAR's primary
information system, Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Advance, related information systems, reporting tools and analytic
tools
*Assist and advise DAR users on the best practices for utilizing
CRM Advance to achieve their goals
*Utilize Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL
Server Data Tools (SSDT) and T-SQL at an intermediate to advanced
level to create and maintain reports, dashboards and CRM Advance
UI
*Create new reports, dashboards and CRM Advance UI which are
easily understood, modified and maintained by other team members
and adhere to organization and team processes and
standards
*Collect requirements from non-technical users
*Translate requests into needs focusing on end goals, not just
user requests
*Create reports, dashboards and CRM Advance UI with an emphasis
on end user ease of use
*Ensure reports, dashboards and CRM Advance UI provide accurate,
complete and timely information
*Maintain existing reports, dashboards and CRM Advance
UI
*Modify reports, dashboards and CRM Advance UI in response to
feature requests, changes in CRM Advance, change in organization,
team processes and standards and to resolve issues
*Provide information analysis (trends, correlations,
relationships, etc.) to support organizational decisions
*Participate in the testing of System upgrades
*Provide CRM Advance subject matter expertise to the Training
and Project Management team as needed
3. Effectively manage a mix of project and operational
work
*Appropriately prioritize a large volume of multiple requests,
projects, issues, etc.
*Adapt to changing priorities based on a fast-moving dynamic
environment
*Independently manage projects as determined by DAR Operations
management
*Collect the needs of stakeholders at various levels and
positions within the organization
*Effectively communicate project status and issues to
management
*Meet project deadlines
4. Support and collaborate with a diverse University
community
*Maintain excellent relations between DAR Operations, DAR and
the Lehigh Community
*Serve as the liaison for information between DAR and other
Lehigh Stems, colleges, offices, departments, etc.
*Maintain excellent intra-team relationships
*Collaborate with team members as necessary with a focus on
maximizing available time and resources
*Serve as a backup to Systems Specialists for day to day
operations
*Occasionally volunteer to support other teams in DAR
5. Maintain proficiency in the systems and technologies used
by DAR
*Monitor relevant publications, websites, listservs, etc. to
keep up to date on systems, technology, fundraising trends and
other professional development topics relevant to the
team
*Attend conferences and professional groups to keep up to date
on systems, technology, fundraising trends, and other professional
development topics relevant to the team.
*Attend training, including training offered internally at
Lehigh and by DAR, to keep up to date on systems, technology,
fundraising trends, and other professional development topics
relevant to the team.
*Proactively maintain knowledge and expertise in the latest CRM
Advance features, data architecture of CRM Advance and auxiliary
system used as data sources and Microsoft SSRS, SSDT, T-SQL and
relational database concepts

The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by the supervisor

Qualifications
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Three to five years related work experience
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service
Ability to complete projects on time and report on status and progress
Solid analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
