Come join a team of dedicated staff at an exceptional time in the Smithsonian’s history:  the creation of the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum.  Decades in the making, the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum will recognize women’s accomplishments, the history they made, and the communities they represent. To create a more equitable America, the Smithsonian is researching, disseminating, and amplifying the histories of American women through its American Women’s History Initiative in preparation for the future Museum. The Smithsonian wants the role of women in American history to be well-known, accurate, acknowledged, and empowering. The legislation creating the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum was established by Congress in December 2020.

The Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum seeks an enthusiastic and detailed-focused Advancement Associate to provide support to the advancement team. Attention to detail and an intuitive administrative aptitude are essential. A minimum of two-years of experience in supporting an advancement team or group with equivalent demands and pace is required. Experience in a large, complex non-profit organization desired.
